Andrea Gálvez is a political scientist who graduated from the University of Quebec in Montreal. She is an activist, passionate about issues of labor mobility and the rights of migrant workers. She began her career as a farmworker union organizer in Québec, discovering the world of temporary work from the voices of Mexicans and Guatemalans who travel to Canada year after year. She was coordinator at the Agriculture Workers Alliance support center in Quebec and later served as liaison for Mexico and Central America at the UFCW. Recently, she has worked as a consultant for various civil society organizations.
