Abigail Kerfoot is a University of California President’s Public Service Law Fellow for 2020-2021. She returns to CDM after working in the Mexico City office as a Law Clerk in 2018.

Abigail graduated from the UCLA School of Law with specializations in Critical Race Studies and the David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy. At UCLA, she served on the editorial boards of the UCLA Law Review and Women’s Law Journal and assisted the mandate of the UN Special Rapporteur on Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia, and Related Intolerance. She has previously worked alongside incarcerated women, human rights defenders, children in deportation proceedings, and indigenous peoples in the US and Mexico to defend their legal and human rights.
