Elizabeth was our courageous Policy Director who left a lasting impact on the lives of thousands of migrant workers through her advocacy efforts and dedication to social justice. She inspired her co-workers, colleagues, friends and family with her energy and commitment.

Here are some details that will help you plan your trip to Baltimore to join us for the evening, including hotel and transportation information, as well as local attractions for those extending their trip to Baltimore. 

Hotel Information

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Hotel located at for a rate of $119 per night. Please call (443) 573-8700 or click here to make a reservation. The hotel is located downtown, a 15 minute walk from the Inner Harbor at 401 W Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD 21201

Hotel Alternative: Baltimore has many alternative hotel options. We suggest as an alternative to the Hilton Hotel, that you consider the Hyatt Regency Hotel as another union option in order to maintain solidarity with workers.

Transportation to the Hilton Hotel

There are various options to get to the Hilton Hotel: 

From BWI – The hotel is located 9 miles from BWI airport, about a 20 minute drive. A Lyft or Uber to the hotel is roughly $30 each way. The hotel is also located 2 blocks from the Convention Center stop (Pratt Street Lightrail Station) on the Light RailLink train. The lightrail is $1.90 each way and departs BWI about every 30 minutes. Take the lightrail from BWI to the Convention Center stop and you will be a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

From Penn Station – For those of you arriving via train to Baltimore Penn Station, Penn Station is 2 miles away or a 15 minute drive from the Hilton. Penn Station is also serviced by the Lightrail train and you can take the lightrail train going to Camden Yards from Penn Station to the Convention Center stop (Pratt Street Lightrail Station), roughly a 20min ride. You can exit on Charles Street and walk to the right. Cross the street to North Avenue, and turn right to the ImpactHub.

From I-95 – The hotel has direct access to I-95 for any local drivers.

Getting to the ImpactHub from the Hilton Hotel 

At 6:00pm on September 6th, we will be gathering at the ImpactHub to celebrate Elizabeth’s life and legacy, and launch the Elizabeth Memorial Fund. The ImpactHub is located at 10 E North Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21202, a 15 minute drive from the Hilton Hotel or a $12 Lyft. 

The ImpactHub also accessible via public transportation. For those staying at the Hilton, from the Convention Center stop (Pratt Street Lightrail Station), take the LightRail to Penn Station. The ImpactHub is located 4 blocks north from Penn Station or a 7 minute walk. The Lightrail is $1.90 each way. 

Alternatively, the Hilton is a 10 minute walk from the corner of Fayette Street and Charles Street where you can catch the free Baltimore City circulator Purple Line north to North Avenue. The ImpactHub will be across the street.

For those of you driving, you can drive one block east along Pratt Street and drive north on Howard until you arrive at North Avenue where you will turn east to the right. The ImpactHub is will be two blocks on your left. 

Parking 

There is street parking available in the blocks adjacent to the ImpactHub. Additionally, there is a parking lot next to the ImpactHub; it is a cash lot and towing is enforced.

Restaurants and Things to Do

The Baltimore Inner Harbor is located a 15 minute walk from the Hilton Hotel. At the harbor you will find family-friendly museums and restaurants including the Maryland Science Center and Baltimore National Aquarium.
