CDM CONDEMNS SUPREME COURT DECISIONS STRIPPING IMMIGRANT PROTECTIONS AND THREATHENING FARMWORKER SAFETY
Centro de los Derechos del Migrante (CDM) strongly condemns the series of devastating decisions handed down by the Supreme Court this morning. In a sweeping blow to human rights and labor dignity, these rulings revoke the legal status of thousands of Haitian and Syrian immigrants, flagrantly violate international law by closing our border to those fleeing violence, and persecution, and unconscionably side with corporate interests over the health and safety of farmworkers.
By dismantling vital humanitarian protections and stripping essential workers of their basic rights, the Court has chosen to prioritize corporate profit over human lives. CDM stands in solidarity with immigrant communities, migrant workers and asylum seekers. We will continue to fight against these regressive decisions and organize across borders to build a migration system that prioritizes the dignity, safety, and human rights of all migrants.

Centro de los Derechos del Migrante, Inc (CDM) envisions a world where migrant workers’ rights are respected, and laws and policies reflect their voices. Through education, outreach, and leadership development; intake, evaluation, and referral services; litigation support and direct representation; and policy advocacy; CDM empowers migrant workers to defend and protect their rights as they move between their home communities in Mexico and their workplaces in the United States.
