We’re just a day away from Thanksgiving — and I just wanted to say thank you.
2020 marks CDM’s 15th anniversary, and I am so grateful for the incredible worker leaders, allies and supporters who have led us closer to migrant justice.
With that in mind, I am honored to present our brand new 2020 Impact Report! This Impact Report reflects our journey for migrant justice — filled with inspiration, achievements and stories.
Throughout the past 15 years, we have leveraged our innovative transnational model to recover and distribute over $36.3 million. Our team has equipped 27,530 migrant workers with critical information about their rights through in-person activities. Thanks to our policy advocacy, migrant workers’ voices have been reflected in state, national and international fora, including high-level UN meetings and trade deals.
These unprecedented times have only demonstrated just how crucial this work is.
The upheavals of 2020 make this a pivotal year and an opportunity to rethink labor migration in a way that prioritizes workers, families and communities. As we enter 2021 with a new administration on the horizon, we are energized for the road ahead.
Happy Thanksgiving from the CDM team! We couldn’t do this work without you.
In Solidarity,
Rachel Micah-Jones
