In celebration of our 17th anniversary, Centro de los Derechos del Migrante presents to you: SOL, our newest tech innovation that will significantly expand our capacity and reach by answering workers’ questions in real-time and streamlining our case intake process.
Every day, dozens of migrant workers contact CDM seeking information about their rights and requesting support in accessing justice. But unfortunately there is a limit to the number of calls and messages we can answer each day.
Thanks to SOL, CDM can now interact with hundreds of migrant workers simultaneously. SOL guides users to the answers they are looking for regarding their rights while working in the United States. As an automated intake bot, SOL gathers preliminary information from workers about the rights’ violations they’ve suffered, so that our legal team can evaluate their claims, provide legal advice to those workers and connect with other advocates who can partner with them to fight for justice.
Designed and developed with migrant worker leaders, SOL is already proving to be a game-changer for CDM. Its impressive click-through-rate demonstrates its value as a much-needed resource for workers. And this is just the beginning for SOL. We will integrate SOL into all of our platforms and foster SOL’s learning and evolution into a more interactive, user-friendly resource, with useful up-to-date information.
